NAKIVO Backup & Replication provides default self-backup settings and custom options:
- Use default settings to run self-backups to the Onboard Repository, which is the backup repository installed with the solution, and retain these backups based on the default retention rule (5 days for each backup).
- Customize settings to run self-backups to specified backup targets, and configure self-backup schedules, retention policies and encryption options.
Self-Backup Recovery and Migration
Following a disruptive incident, such as a corrupted solution instance or a ransomware attack, you can recover the entire configuration of the system to a new NAKIVO Backup & Replication instance. Import the backup repository that contains the self-back and select the recovery point. The solution is ready for use in minutes.
