Why should I renew my support and maintenance agreement for a perpetual license?
Perpetual licenses come with one year of Standard Support, that is access to technical support during business hours. Once this support and maintenance agreement expires, you can lose direct access to NAKIVO’s expert support and assistance. You also lose access to new features and new supported technologies.
You can purchase multiple years of Standard Support upfront or upgrade to 24/7 Support if needed.
What happens if my NAKIVO license expires?
After license expiration, NAKIVO Backup & Replication enters grace period mode for 15 days. During this period, you can continue to use the feature set available in the solution edition you have. After the grace period mode has ended or if the solution does not have a license, NAKIVO Backup & Replication enters limited mode. In this mode:
- Backup, backup copy, replication and Site Recovery jobs are disabled.
- Jobs that are currently in progress are disabled after completion.
- Real-time replication jobs are stopped and disabled.
- Recovery jobs can still be completed as usual.
Activating the license disables limited mode and allows you to resume your regular data protection workflows.
Can I migrate from a perpetual to a subscription license?
Yes, you can migrate from a perpetual license to a subscription license. Contact sales@nakivo.com for more information on how to migrate to a subscription licensing model. In addition, our team of technical engineers will assist you with planning and implementing the migration.
